Well, here at BFR Studios, we encourage anyone with an interest in songwriting to explore their dreams, even those that don't have the ability to play instruments. The Rooster can take even a page of lyrics and help an aspiring songwriter create a professionally sounding demo!
The contest allows local songwriters to compete for prizes, but more importantly, gives their songs an audience of hundreds of people online that otherwise never would have heard it! The winner each month receives 2 free hours of studio time, plus the even bigger benefit of a permanent slot in the Rooster's online jukebox!

If you have an original song, we invite you to come into our studio and just sing it! We take over from there, laying down track after track of acoustic and lead guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, and orchestration. When we're finished with your song, your friends and family will swear you took a trip to Nashville!

BFR Studios has the most competitive rates in the 4 State Area. Our hourly rate is $35 for straight studio time. This price includes the use of the studio facilities, instruments and a professional session engineer.
Once the recording is finished, you can choose whether you want the Rooster to add instruments for the final production. Starting at $100 per song, the professional musicians at BFR Studios will take your song and give it that "big studio" sound.
Songs for the contest will be chosen based on when they were recorded. There is a $10 entry fee for the contest.
BFR Studios duplication services - high quality audio CD with packaging and artwork
After recording your music, the next step is to produce a high quality CD. Whether you need hundreds of copies or just a handful, we process the order on site in our Joplin, Missouri location. When the Rooster handles your duplication needs, you get more than just a stack of CDs!
First, we photograph the musician and create impressive, eye-catching cover art. Our artwork is printed on the CD case insert, the back cover, and directly on the CD. This sharp, professional first impression will instantly make your CD more marketable.
Next, our high speed duplicators make as many flawless copies of your CD as you need. The turn-around on our CD duplication is usually 2-3 days for clients in the Joplin area, but often we can fill an order the same day as it's placed!
Finally, the CD and case are shrink wrapped for a polished, professional look. When you pick up your CDs, they will be ready for distribution.

We work with particular clients to develop a pricing structure that works best for their particular project. Our base rate for recording time is $40 per hour with no minimum time. If you have an entire album project to record, we have discounts for buying studio time in bulk.
If you need you CD duplicated, we offer very attractive rates for this service. If you need 1 to 1,000 CDs, the price is $3 per disc. This price includes the artwork, cases and shrink wrap, so that your finished product is ready to sell to your customers. If you need more than 1,000 CDs, we offer discounts from time to time for bulk orders.
For our specialty services such as putting music to lyrics, we will be happy to provide a free quote once we learn a little bit more about your project.
